2017 is going to be all about screen and no bezels, if you are a tech enthusiast you probably know that already by now. But something else that had to come with this idea were new ways to get into your phone, new form of biometrics. The newest and freshest was the Iris scanner, which..lets just say shot itself in the foot. It was a great and effective way of getting into your phone nevertheless. But with the bezelless future on the horizon, fingerprint scanners will also have to step up their game.
Most notably the Samsung Galaxy S8, we heard rumors late 2016 that a company named Synaptics was working on a technology that would hide the fingerprint system anywhere under the display of a phone, meaning you could touch anywhere on the display and you would unlock your phone. Unfortunately the S8 might not cut the cake because the company has not finished testing their new technology and the S8 is already 1 month overdue. But by the time the next iPhone comes out the developers will be looking for customers. So Apple might again get their hands to another revolutionary technology, out gunning Samsung(..cough..cough..3D touch.)
